Intrada. Getting closer.

Intrada. Getting closer.

The St. Louis Post Dispatch has an article on the progress towards one of our newest communities currently in development—Intrada.  Set to open in 2017, Intrada will give the building shown here a new life as affordable apartments (studios, one- & two-bedroom) plus feature a supportive focus on youth who are exiting foster care. Read the piece here.  Our team is excited to once again have the opportunity to work with the MHDC to help make a difference for St Louis and for those who call it home.

We appreciate the vote of confidence, Jonathan. Actually, KC is near and dear to us—and we’re happy to share that we’re in the early stages of bringing some supportive housing to the Kansas City area. If things continue to move in the right direction, we’ll have some news to report very soon.

So there is nothing new from a year ago to report.

Well, from reading the article—and to your point—it may not seem like it. But the fact that this article exists at all means that Intrada is proceeding—and that’s definitely worth mentioning. As things move ahead, we’ll have a better update within the next few weeks. Thanks for your comment, Thomas.

Who will over see this apartment? Will there be a business and rental office on the premise? What will be the price of apartment rentals for seniors? Who is paying for the young adults? Are they required to have jobs? What are the rentals for their apartments. What criteria is in place to screen those applying for an apartment? Too many questions, and no answers.

Hello there, Richard. First, thank you for the opportunity to clarify something: though Intrada will have a supportive focus for young adults leaving foster care, it actually will be open to all (and we’ve edited the original post as such). For your other questions, if you could please drop us a line using our contact form we’ll happily answer all of them. Thanks again!

Wonderful to see work happening on the site. I live about 4 blocks from Intrada and am very eager to see this project completed. What an important corner for our neighborhood and a corner that has been in much need of renovation! The residents of the building will have a beautiful view of our beloved Carondelet Park!
