Troy, New York – September 2017: Having created thousands of homes and solutions for communities across the country, the Vecino Group will soon establish a new address of its own within the Capital District. Troy, New York will be the home of a new satellite office, providing the Missouri-based development company a key regional hub for its New York/East Coast team.
The Vecino Group has a number of housing developments in New York via New York State Homes & Community Renewal (many utilizing historic tax credits). As with every project the company undertakes, each New York development adheres to the Vecino Group mission of making the world a better place—one community, one development at a time.
Hudson Arthaus, a $19.4 million dollar historic rehab, turned an abandoned building in Troy, New York into 80 units of affordable housing and community amenities for artists. AsteriSM in Utica, New York will revitalize a historic building into 49 new affordable homes, with 12 units set-aside as permanent supportive housing for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Mosaic VillageSM in Cohoes, New York will provide 68 affordable units, 14 of which are permanent supportive housing units for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. 444 River Lofts—the soon-to-be second Vecino Group development in Troy—is a mixed-use historic rehab in the heart of downtown that will offer 74 residential units as well as commercial space. Once complete in 2018, 444 River Lofts will also be the permanent home for the Vecino Group offices in New York.
That’s just the start of what Vecino hopes will be a long, productive relationship with the people and communities of New York State.
